Hill Crest Counseling Services is on the lookout for an empathetic and licensed Mental Health Therapist specializing in trauma-informed care to join our dedicated team. In this full-time remote position, you will be provided with the unique opportunity to offer therapeutic support to individuals navigating the challenges of trauma and its lasting impacts, including PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders.

Work Environment\n

This position is fully remote, enabling you to provide care from the comfort of your own home while using our advanced telehealth technology. You will engage with clients through our secure virtual platforms, allowing flexibility in your work schedule, while adhering to a standard weekday schedule from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Occasional adjustments to this schedule may be necessary to meet the needs of our clients.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed assessments to identify patients' trauma histories, using validated assessment tools and clinical interviews.
\n
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that are tailored to each patient's unique needs, promoting resilience and recovery through collaboration.
\n
• Deliver evidence-based interventions, such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), in both individual and group therapy formats.
\n
• Facilitate therapy sessions focused on processing trauma experiences, enhancing coping strategies, and guiding patients toward healing.
\n
• Work in conjunction with psychiatrists and other mental health professionals to ensure a holistic and integrative treatment approach for all patients.
\n
• Provide crisis intervention and support in situations requiring immediate mental health attention, ensuring that patients feel safe and supported.
\n
• Educate patients and their families on trauma responses and coping mechanisms to empower them in their recovery journey.
\n
• Maintain precise and confidential records in compliance with ethical standards and regulatory requirements, ensuring continuity of care.

• Participate actively in case consultations, team meetings, and ongoing professional training to enhance your skills in trauma-informed care.

• Keep abreast of the latest research developments and best practices in trauma therapy to ensure the highest quality service delivery.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily work with individuals who have experienced trauma, including but not limited to survivors of abuse, veterans, and those affected by natural disasters or significant life changes. Your role will be integral to providing a safe and understanding therapeutic environment, allowing patients to navigate their trauma through personalized support and proven therapeutic techniques.

Qualifications\n

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Texas.
\n
• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience in mental health counseling, particularly with trauma-focused interventions.
\n
• Demonstrated knowledge and application of trauma-related disorders and treatment modalities.
\n
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a genuine ability to connect with clients compassionately.
\n
• Capability to maintain composure and provide reassurance in high-stress situations.
\n
• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems for accurate documentation and tracking of patient cases.
\n
• Ability and willingness to collaborate cohesively as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience or training in specific trauma therapy approaches, such as EMDR or TF-CBT.

• Familiarity with telehealth platforms and virtual therapy best practices.

Compensation and Benefits\n
