Work Environment

The treatment setting for this position is an outpatient clinic located in the heart of Belmont, California. Our facility is equipped with state-of-the-art rehabilitation equipment and technologies designed to enhance therapeutic interventions. Work hours are Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, allowing for a balanced work-life schedule.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of patients with orthopedic conditions, evaluating their physical abilities and limitations.
• Develop individualized treatment plans that incorporate evidence-based methodologies tailored to the unique needs of each patient.
• Implement a variety of therapeutic interventions and modalities to enhance patient function and alleviate discomfort.
• Monitor patient progress, making adjustments to the treatment plan as necessary to address evolving needs.
• Maintain detailed and accurate patient records using WebPT, ensuring compliance with documentation standards and requirements.
• Collaborate with other healthcare providers, including physicians and occupational therapists, to create an integrated care model that supports comprehensive rehabilitation.
• Educate patients and their families about injury prevention, self-management strategies, and the importance of adherence to therapeutic exercises.
• Participate in regular team meetings and case reviews to enhance service delivery and share insights on patient care strategies.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This position primarily involves working with patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and chronic musculoskeletal conditions. Our clientele ranges from active adults to seniors, each with distinct rehabilitation needs. The therapist will focus on hands-on treatment and exercise regimens designed to help patients return to their daily activities and improve their physical performance, ensuring a patient-centered approach.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or Doctorate in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Active California Physical Therapist license or eligibility to obtain one.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a commitment to delivering exceptional patient-focused care.
• Ability to build rapport with a diverse patient population and work collaboratively with the healthcare team.
• A proactive and engaging approach to patient rehabilitation, with a passion for improving patient outcomes.

Preferred Experience

• Familiarity with WebPT or similar electronic medical record systems is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of contemporary therapeutic techniques and a history of implementing them effectively.
