Work Environment

This full-time position is onsite at our modern rehabilitation center located in the heart of Ridgefield Park. Our facility is designed with the latest technology and rehabilitation equipment, creating an optimal healing environment for our patients. You will work alongside other professionals in a team-oriented atmosphere, valuing communication and cooperation to achieve the best outcomes for clients. The clinic operates from Monday to Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a consistent work schedule and a balanced lifestyle.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of patients suffering from various orthopedic issues, including musculoskeletal injuries, chronic pain, and post-operative recovery.
• Develop and implement customized treatment plans using a combination of manual therapy techniques, therapeutic exercises, and neuromuscular re-education strategies.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress and adapt treatment plans based on effectiveness, ensuring continual advancement towards recovery goals.
• Provide patient education on exercise regimens, home-based care, and techniques for injury prevention and management.
• Collaborate closely with the healthcare team, including physical therapy assistants, physicians, and specialists, to coordinate the best possible care for patients.
• Regularly monitor and evaluate patient progress, communicating relevant updates and necessary adjustments in treatment to both the physician and patient’s families.
• Assist in educating staff and families regarding patient care strategies and wellness approaches to enhance overall rehabilitation outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our primary patient population consists of individuals aged 18 and older who are seeking rehabilitation for injuries related to sports, work, or daily activities. Many clients come to us after undergoing orthopedic surgeries and require assistance in regaining their strength and mobility. We take pride in addressing diverse backgrounds and health needs, ensuring that each patient receives personalized attention and care tailored to their specific circumstances and goals.

Qualifications

• Must hold an active New Jersey Physical Therapist license.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy is required; however, a Doctorate (DPT) or Master’s degree is preferred.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in orthopedic physical therapy is necessary.
• Possess strong clinical knowledge, effective communication skills, and the ability to adapt to various patient needs.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred but will be supported if not currently held.
• A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are needed for potential home visitations.

Preferred Experience

• Experience specifically in outpatient orthopedics is highly valued, although enthusiastic new graduates with relevant clinical rotations are encouraged to apply.
• Knowledge of advanced therapy modalities, including but not limited to dry needling, kinesiology taping, or aquatic therapy is a plus.
• Previous experience mentoring or leading therapy assistants or interns can enhance your application.

Compensation and Benefits
