Mountain Top Cardiology Consultants is actively seeking a dedicated and skilled Nurse Practitioner to join our dynamic team in Brookhaven, New York. This full-time opportunity offers a unique chance to contribute to the outpatient practice of the Center for Advanced Cardiac Care (CACC), where you will work closely with a team of experienced healthcare professionals, including physicians, fellow Nurse Practitioners, and registered nurses. You will play a pivotal role in providing comprehensive care to patients dealing with a wide range of cardiac conditions.

Work Environment

The ideal candidate will work in a fast-paced, onsite outpatient setting that emphasizes teamwork and innovation. Our facility boasts advanced technologies for cardiac assessments and treatments, including electrophysiology studies, stress testing equipment, and comprehensive monitoring systems. The working hours are set from Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM, ensuring work-life balance with no calls, nights, or weekends. The supportive atmosphere fosters continuous learning and professional growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with a team of cardiologists to evaluate and manage patients presenting with various cardiovascular conditions.
• Conduct comprehensive assessments, including detailed history taking and physical examinations for patients experiencing hypertension, high cholesterol, coronary artery disease, and more.
• Provide outpatient-only electrophysiology services, interpreting abnormal electrocardiograms and managing arrhythmias, as well as monitoring patients with implantable devices.
• Engage in the provision of stress testing and other diagnostic procedures, ensuring a seamless patient experience and accurate results.
• Perform medication management and prescribe treatments in collaboration with supervising cardiologists.
• Educate patients and their families about their conditions, treatment plans, and lifestyle modifications to promote heart health.
• Facilitate referrals to specialists within our group as needed to ensure comprehensive care continuity.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role primarily caters to adult patients dealing with a variety of cardiovascular issues, focusing on those who require ongoing management and care of chronic conditions such as congestive heart failure, valvular heart disease, stroke, and peripheral artery disease. Through our patient-centered approach, you will help not only address acute health needs but also implement preventive care strategies to improve outcomes and enhance quality of life.

Qualifications

• Master’s or Doctoral degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
• Current, unencumbered Nurse Practitioner license to practice in New York.
• Certification as a Nurse Practitioner in relevant specialties.
• Completion of an accredited program pertinent to the field of cardiology and successful passing of the corresponding certification exam.

Preferred Experience

While both seasoned and newly graduated Nurse Practitioners will be considered, preference will be given to candidates with prior experience in cardiology, either in inpatient or outpatient settings. Familiarity with cardiac monitoring systems and electronic health record (EHR) systems will be beneficial.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation for this full-time position ranges from USD 120,000 to 160,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a robust benefits package that includes:
