Job Description:

The Accounts Payable Technician I is an entry level accounting position reporting directly to the Accounts Payable Supervisor.
The position provides direct support for processing the day-to-day vendor invoices.

Responsibilities:

Responsible for the timely and accurate processing of all invoices, including sorting mail, batch preparation, scanning and data entry.
Insure that all non-purchase order invoices are properly approved and coded.
Maintain a professional level of communication with vendors / customers (internal and external).
May assist in orienting and training lower level team members.
This position reports to the Accounts Payable Supervisor.
Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

3 plus months experience in Accounts Payable

Preferred:

Associate's degree in Accounting
Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel and accounting software
