Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health evaluations, including initial assessments and ongoing progress monitoring to understand each client’s unique situation and needs.

• Develop individualized treatment plans based on evaluation findings, incorporating evidence-based interventions tailored to clients' specific challenges.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions using a range of modalities, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), to engage clients and promote healing.

• Monitor clients’ progress and adapt treatment plans as necessary to ensure that therapeutic goals are being met, celebrating successes and addressing setbacks in a compassionate manner.

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, social workers, and medical professionals, to coordinate care and address complex client needs effectively.

• Assist clients through referrals to appropriate community resources, ensuring comprehensive support for various aspects of their lives, from housing to employment.

• Provide guidance and support to family members in order to help them understand and assist their loved ones in managing mental health challenges.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The clients you will work with include a diverse population, ranging from adolescents to adults grappling with various mental health issues, including anxiety disorders, depression, trauma, and other psychosocial challenges. Qualifications\n

• A master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPCC, or LCSW in the state of California.

• Successful completion of the NCE and/or NCMHCE exams, demonstrating your proficiency and readiness to provide mental health services.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills, allowing for effective documentation and collaboration with clients and colleagues.

• Exceptional interpersonal skills, characterized by empathy, patience, and the ability to connect effectively with individuals from varying backgrounds.

Preferred Experience\n

• Prior experience in a clinical mental health counseling setting is essential, with preference given to candidates with expertise in trauma-informed care and addiction treatment.

• Familiarity with electronic health record systems, specifically AVATAR, to maintain accurate client records and streamline treatment documentation.

• Knowledge of the best practices set forth by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) will enhance your integration into our team.

• Experience in addressing underlying physical health conditions or co-occurring disorders to provide holistic support to clients.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary for this full-time Licensed Mental Health Counselor position ranges from USD 80,000 to 100,000 per year.
