Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments to accurately identify the needs of children and adolescents, using established evaluation tools and clinical judgment.

• Design, implement, and regularly review individualized treatment plans that consider each patient’s developmental stage, family dynamics, and specific mental health concerns.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), play therapy, and family therapy to effectively address a variety of mental health issues.

• Facilitate family therapy sessions, providing parents and caregivers with strategies to nurture a supportive home environment for their children.

• Collaborate with child psychiatrists and other professionals to coordinate care and monitor patient progress, ensuring a unified approach to treatment.
\n
• Offer crisis intervention and support in emergencies, utilizing de-escalation techniques and resource networks to assist families in distress.
\n
• Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions, treatments, and community support resources to empower informed decision-making.
\n
• Maintain accurate and confidential clinical documentation, adhering to legal standards and ethical guidelines.
\n
• Actively participate in team meetings for case consultations, professional training, and knowledge-sharing sessions to promote a collaborative work culture.

• Stay updated on the latest research and advancements in child and adolescent psychiatry to enhance service delivery and patient outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role primarily focuses on treating children and adolescents dealing with mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, and various behavioral disorders. Our ideal candidate will be adept at building strong therapeutic relationships with young clients, thereby fostering a trusting environment conducive to effective treatment.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Psychologist in New York State.
\n
• Strong understanding of child and adolescent mental health disorders, along with evidence-based treatment modalities.
\n
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a demonstrated ability to connect and engage with children, adolescents, and their families.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience providing psychotherapy and counseling to children and adolescents.

• Demonstrated ability in delivering individual and family therapy and understanding of crisis intervention strategies.

• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and computer applications to document and manage clinical records efficiently.

Compensation and Benefits\n

We offer a competitive salary ranging from $100,000 to $120,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
