Key Responsibilities\n

• Engage in multidisciplinary consultations with various prenatal care team members, including midwives and lactation experts, to ensure a fully integrated and quality care experience for our clients.

• Co-facilitate childbirth education and postpartum peer support groups in partnership with experienced birth workers, fostering a supportive community among new parents.
\n
• Participate actively in community engagement initiatives geared towards promoting holistic wellness for birthing individuals and families.
\n
• Contribute to clinical consultation meetings and co-learning environments, sharing insights and improving practices through collaboration with colleagues.

• Ensure accurate and timely clinical documentation is completed for all client interactions.
\n
• Provide direct mental health services, including behavioral assessments, counseling sessions, and case management tailored specifically to Black birthing families.

• Adhere to training and supervisory processes, demonstrating a commitment to professional development and excellence in care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on supporting Black birthing families, ensuring culturally responsive care that recognizes and honors their unique experiences and challenges. This role aims to empower clients by addressing their mental health needs through personalized counseling and support, ultimately contributing to improved overall family outcomes and community wellness.

Qualifications\n

• Must possess a current and valid licensure as a Mental Health Counselor (LMFT, LCSW, or LPCC) in California.

• A master’s degree in behavioral sciences or a related field from an accredited institution is required.

• Strong interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with a diverse, multicultural team and engage with various stakeholders.

• Demonstrated ability to work independently while effectively managing time and responsibilities in a telehealth setting.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience working with prenatal and postpartum populations, particularly in a counseling or support role, is highly desirable.

• Familiarity with telehealth systems and electronic health records is beneficial.

Compensation and Benefits\n
