Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at Excela Behavioral Health, you will:

• Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized treatment plans tailored to meet the unique needs of each client.

• Provide both pre-crisis and crisis intervention, developing actionable behavioral guidelines and risk assessments to support client health.
\n
• Utilize evidence-based screening tools alongside our clinical team to ensure the best therapeutic outcomes.

• Collaborate with fellow counselors to create and implement positive behavior support plans, enhancing client engagement and commitment to recovery.

• Ensure timely completion of documentation in accordance with regulatory standards, contributing to the operational excellence of our telehealth services.

• Participate in continuous licensing and accreditation processes, ensuring that our practices adhere to the highest professional standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will work with a diverse clientele, including individuals facing emotional and psychological challenges, those in various stages of substance use recovery, and clients with developmental disabilities or acquired brain injuries. Your work will be instrumental in guiding clients through challenging moments, helping them achieve meaningful goals and enhance their overall quality of life.

Qualifications\n

The ideal candidate will possess the following:

• A Master’s Degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Counseling Psychology, Clinical Psychology, or a related field.

• Completion of a full-time clinical internship in a mental health setting, providing foundational experience in evidence-based counseling practices.

• Eligibility for licensure by the State of Florida, with a valid driver's license in good standing.

• A keen attention to detail coupled with strong organizational capabilities to effectively manage client records and documentation.

Preferred Experience\n

While all qualified applicants are encouraged to apply, candidates with experience in telehealth counseling or evidence-based practices such as CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy), or other therapeutic modalities will be given preference.
