Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments, including initial consultations and ongoing evaluations throughout the treatment process.

• Develop tailored intervention and recovery plans for individuals, couples, families, and groups, ensuring alignment with best practices in the field.

• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions that promote client participation and progression towards their mental health goals.
\n
• Continuously monitor and assess client progress, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans based on their evolving needs.

• Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals—including psychiatrists, nurses, and social workers—to coordinate and enhance client care.

• Manage referrals and follow-ups, maintaining communication with hospitals and other healthcare providers when clients require inpatient services.

• Identify potential barriers to recovery and develop strategies to mitigate these obstacles, ensuring that clients receive consistent support.

• Educate and assist family members and caregivers in understanding and managing mental health challenges, fostering a supportive home environment.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This position will primarily serve a diverse clientele facing various mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, and relationship issues. The ideal candidate will have experience working with individuals from diverse backgrounds, utilizing culturally-sensitive approaches to therapy. Your contributions will enhance the mental well-being of our clients by providing them with the knowledge and skills needed to navigate their treatment journeys effectively.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Possession of a current and valid license as a Mental Health Counselor (LMFT, LPC, LCSW) in Texas.

• Successful completion of the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• Proficiency in electronic health record systems, particularly AVATAR, to document client interactions and treatment plans efficiently.
\n
• Sound knowledge of addiction disorders, physical and emotional health conditions, and their interplay with mental health.

• Previous experience in a mental health counseling role, with a demonstrated ability in managing diverse therapeutic modalities.
