Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive, trauma-informed assessments to evaluate each patient’s unique trauma history and mental health needs.

• Develop, implement, and regularly update individualized treatment plans aimed at fostering recovery and resilience.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to support clients in overcoming their trauma.

• Facilitate engaging and effective individual and group therapy sessions, providing a safe space for clients to process their trauma and build coping strategies.
\n
• Collaborate closely with psychiatrists, social workers, and other health care professionals to ensure a cohesive approach to integrated patient care.

• Provide immediate crisis intervention for clients experiencing trauma-related emergencies, effectively managing high-pressure situations with calm and care.

• Educate clients and their families on trauma responses and available resources, enhancing their understanding and support systems.
\n
• Maintain comprehensive and accurate documentation in adherence to regulatory standards, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with ethical guidelines.

• Engage in team meetings, case consultations, and ongoing professional development opportunities, contributing to a culture of learning and growth.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Therapist at Mood Dynamics Counseling Center, you will work primarily with individuals from diverse backgrounds who have experienced varying degrees of trauma. Your expertise will be instrumental in helping survivors of traumatic events from all walks of life. We emphasize culturally sensitive practices to better serve our community.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• A valid and current license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Oregon.

• A minimum of two years of post-licensure clinical experience, preferably in trauma-informed care settings.

• Strong knowledge of various trauma-related disorders and interventions.

• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills, demonstrating a compassionate and non-judgmental approach to care.
