Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate patients' trauma histories, strengths, and needs.

• Develop and implement tailored treatment plans that focus on trauma recovery, integrating the latest evidence-based practices such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions designed to help clients process their trauma, articulate their feelings, and develop effective coping strategies.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists, social workers, and other healthcare providers to create a multidisciplinary approach to patient care, ensuring comprehensive support.

• Provide crisis intervention and support during emergencies related to trauma, including assessments to determine immediate needs.
\n
• Educate clients and their families about trauma responses, coping mechanisms, and available resources, empowering them on their recovery paths.

• Maintain meticulous and confidential records of therapy sessions according to legal, ethical, and organizational standards.

• Engage in ongoing professional development, staying current with the latest research in trauma-informed care and best practices.

• Participate actively in regular team meetings to discuss case studies, outcomes, and innovative approaches to treatment.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our clinic primarily serves individuals who have experienced various forms of trauma, including but not limited to post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. The clients you will work with often approach therapy with immense courage, and your role as a mental health therapist will be vital in facilitating their healing journey.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in Oregon.

• At least 2 years of post-licensure experience in providing mental health counseling, preferably with trauma-focused populations.

• Strong knowledge of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment modalities.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a compassionate and non-judgmental approach towards clients.

• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and relevant computer applications.

Compensation and Benefits\n
