Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Therapist, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Conducting thorough trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate each client’s trauma history and current mental health needs, allowing you to identify the most effective treatment strategies.

• Creating and implementing personalized treatment plans that emphasize trauma recovery and resilience, incorporating client feedback to ensure our therapeutic approach aligns with their goals.

• Utilizing evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) to facilitate healing and recovery.

• Delivering high-quality individual and group therapy sessions that encourage clients to explore their trauma, develop effective coping mechanisms, and promote their overall mental health.

• Collaborating closely with psychiatrists and other mental health professionals to provide integrated, holistic care tailored to our clients’ unique needs.

• Providing crisis intervention during trauma-related emergencies and maintaining a calm, reassuring presence to help clients navigate acute distress.

• Offering education and resources to clients and their families regarding trauma responses and coping strategies to enhance their overall well-being.

• Maintaining accurate and confidential client records in adherence with legal and ethical standards, ensuring quality control in treatment protocols.

• Actively participating in team meetings, case consultations, and ongoing training opportunities focused on the latest developments in trauma-informed care.

• Keeping current with latest research and best practices in trauma therapy to enhance the effectiveness of our services.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your work at Chat and Change Counseling will primarily focus on individuals impacted by trauma, facilitating their healing journey through a compassionate, person-centered approach. Our clients include those suffering from PTSD, complex trauma, and other trauma-related disorders, often seeking support during some of the most challenging phases of their lives. Qualifications\n

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:

• A master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• A current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT within the state of Oregon.

• A strong understanding of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment modalities.
\n
• Proven experience in delivering trauma-focused therapies and therapeutic interventions.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a compassionate, non-judgmental approach to therapy.

Compensation and Benefits\n
