Work Environment

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients to assess their physical condition and capabilities, developing tailored treatment plans that address individual rehabilitation goals.
• Utilize a variety of therapeutic modalities, including manual therapy techniques, therapeutic exercises, and modern rehabilitation equipment to enhance patient outcomes.
• Administer treatments to patients recovering from various conditions, including surgery, injuries, or chronic diseases, ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the process.
• Monitor patient progress, making adjustments to treatment plans as necessary based on documented evaluations and ongoing assessments.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including physicians, occupational therapists, and nursing staff, to provide holistic care to patients, ensuring seamless communication and patient-focused treatment.
• Educate patients, their families, and caregivers on rehabilitation strategies and self-care techniques to empower them in their recovery journey.
• Maintain accurate, detailed patient records and documentation using electronic medical record (EMR) systems, complying with state regulations and organizational policies.
• Participate in professional development and training opportunities to continually enhance your skills and knowledge, staying informed of the latest advancements in physical therapy practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with a diverse patient population, including seniors recovering from hip or knee surgeries, athletes rehabilitating from sports injuries, and individuals with neurological conditions. Your ability to connect with different patients and customize treatment approaches is crucial to their successful rehabilitation journey.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program; a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is preferred.
• Valid State license to practice as a Physical Therapist in Florida.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
• Proficient in electronic documentation and familiar with computer software for patient management.
• Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative healthcare team.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail for tracking patient progress and maintaining accurate records.
• High degree of flexibility in adapting treatment strategies to meet varied patient needs.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of 2 years of professional experience as a Physical Therapist, preferably in a rehabilitation or hospital setting.
• Experience with specialized therapy techniques, such as aquatic therapy or sports rehabilitation, is a plus.
• Strong interpersonal skills with a proven ability to build rapport with patients and colleagues.

Compensation and Benefits
