In this full-time remote position, you will play a crucial role in providing trauma-informed mental health care to individuals navigating the complexities of trauma and its effects on their daily lives.

Work Environment\n

This position allows for a flexible remote work setting while also providing opportunities to collaborate closely with colleagues in an outpatient office environment. Our goal is to ensure that our therapists have the support they need to thrive in their roles. Although the majority of work is performed remotely, some in-office meetings and consultations may be required.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed assessments to evaluate patients' trauma histories, thereby informing effective treatment planning.

• Create and implement individualized treatment plans that prioritize trauma recovery, nurture resilience, and promote overall mental wellness.
\n
• Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), tailored to meet the unique needs of each patient.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, encouraging patients to process their trauma experiences, learn coping strategies, and engage in the healing process collaboratively.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists and other multidisciplinary team members to ensure comprehensive and integrated care for all patients.
\n
• Offer immediate crisis intervention and support during trauma-related emergencies, ensuring patient safety and well-being.
\n
• Educate patients and their families about trauma responses, coping mechanisms, and access to available resources, enhancing their capacity for self-management.
\n
• Maintain accurate and confidential documentation in line with legal and ethical standards, ensuring a clear communication of patient progress.
\n
• Actively participate in professional development activities, case consultations, and team meetings focused on trauma-informed care practices and advancements.

• Remain informed about the latest research and best practices in trauma therapy to enhance the quality of care provided.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our clientele primarily consists of individuals affected by various types of trauma, including but not limited to veterans dealing with PTSD, survivors of abuse, and those facing complex emotional challenges. Each patient at Mood Dynamics Counseling Center is treated with utmost respect and understands that their journey toward healing is unique. As such, our practitioners work alongside patients to foster trust and promote their involvement in the therapeutic process.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Tennessee.
\n
• Solid understanding of trauma-related disorders and familiarity with trauma-informed treatment modalities.
\n
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrating a compassionate approach when working with patients.
\n
• Strong ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations, equipped to handle emergencies effectively.
\n
• Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and common computer applications to manage patient information.
\n

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure clinical experience in mental health counseling is preferred.

• Proven track record in delivering trauma-focused therapies and interventions is highly advantageous.

• Experience working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team is a plus, allowing for seamless integration of care.

Compensation and Benefits\n
