Work Environment\n

This position is primarily remote, allowing you to engage in therapy sessions from the comfort of your own space while still maintaining close communication with our multidisciplinary team. You’ll have access to state-of-the-art electronic health record (EHR) systems which streamline patient documentation and communication. Our working hours are Monday to Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with some flexibility to accommodate patient scheduling needs. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed assessments to evaluate patients’ mental health history, focusing on their trauma experiences, and devise comprehensive treatment plans tailored to individual needs.

• Implement evidence-based therapeutic techniques, such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), during individual and group therapy sessions.

• Guide patients through their healing processes by facilitating supportive group therapy sessions that promote sharing, coping strategies, and the processing of trauma.

• Collaborate effectively with psychiatrists and other healthcare providers to ensure a cohesive treatment approach that addresses all dimensions of patient health.

• Provide immediate crisis intervention and support to patients facing trauma-induced emergencies, ensuring their safety and emotional stability.
\n
• Educate patients and their families regarding trauma responses and available coping mechanisms, empowering them with knowledge and resources.

• Maintain meticulous documentation of patient progress and compliance with all legal and ethical standards in mental health care.

• Participate in regular team meetings, case consultations, and ongoing professional development activities centered around trauma-informed care.

• Stay informed of the latest research and practices in trauma therapy to continually enhance your therapeutic effectiveness and patient outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on individuals who have experienced significant trauma, including but not limited to post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. You will be working with diverse demographics, contributing to the recovery of trauma survivors, which requires a nuanced understanding of their unique experiences and needs.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited educational institution.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Georgia.

• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience preferred, specifically in trauma therapy or related fields.

• In-depth understanding of trauma-related disorders and proficiency in trauma-informed treatment modalities.

Compensation and Benefits\n
