Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed assessments to evaluate patients' trauma histories, ensuring comprehensive understanding for developing treatment approaches.

• Design and implement individualized treatment plans that focus on recovery from trauma and strategies for building resilience.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to provide targeted interventions.

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions to foster processing of trauma, coping strategies, and overall healing.

• Work collaboratively with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure a holistic approach to patient care.

• Respond to crisis situations, delivering immediate support and intervention during trauma-related emergencies.

• Educate patients and their families about trauma responses, effective coping mechanisms, and community resources.

• Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation while adhering to all legal and ethical standards.

• Participate in regular case consultations and team meetings to enhance trauma-informed care practices and professional development.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on individuals impacted by various forms of trauma, including but not limited to PTSD and complex trauma. This role will require sensitivity and understanding of the unique challenges faced by your clients, as well as the ability to deliver compassionate, non-judgmental support. You will engage with patients who often require a deeper level of understanding and care, thereby making significant contributions to their recovery and mental wellness.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Georgia.

• Strong knowledge of trauma-informed practices and effective treatment modalities.

• Proficiency in using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems for documentation and communication.

Preferred Experience\n

We are looking for candidates with a minimum of two years of post-licensure experience in mental health counseling, particularly in trauma-informed care settings. Experience with trauma-focused interventions and group therapy facilitation is highly desired.

Compensation and Benefits\n
