Work Environment\n

This position offers the flexibility of a remote work setting while also allowing for in-person consultations at our outpatient office. We maintain a collaborative environment where therapists work alongside psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to provide cohesive and comprehensive care. The standard work schedule is Monday to Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, though some flexibility may be necessary to accommodate our clients' needs.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough, trauma-informed mental health assessments to understand patients' trauma histories and identify treatment strategies tailored to their specific needs.

• Collaboratively develop and implement individualized treatment plans focusing on trauma recovery and building resilience.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to assist clients in processing their trauma effectively.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, creating a supportive atmosphere that encourages clients to develop essential coping strategies and promote healing.

• Engage in close collaboration with psychiatrists and interdisciplinary team members to ensure consistent, high-quality care that addresses all aspects of a patient's mental health.

• Provide immediate crisis intervention and support for clients experiencing trauma-related emergencies.
\n
• Educate patients and their families about trauma responses, effective coping mechanisms, and resources available to them.
\n
• Document all interactions and treatment plans accurately and confidentially, adhering to all legal and ethical regulations.

• Actively participate in case consultations, team meetings, and continuing education activities focused on enhancing trauma-informed care.

• Keep abreast of the latest research and best practices in trauma therapy to ensure the highest quality of care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role specifically targets individuals who have experienced trauma, including those diagnosed with PTSD and complex trauma. The therapist's approach will be highly personalized, reflecting an understanding of the unique challenges faced by trauma survivors and promoting healing narratives through both individual and group treatment options.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Georgia is essential.

• At least 2 years of post-licensure experience in a mental health setting, with a preference for direct experience in trauma therapy.

• Demonstrated effective communication skills, with a focus on compassionate and non-judgmental engagement with clients.

Compensation and Benefits\n

This position offers a competitive salary range of USD 90,000 to 110,000 yearly, commensurate with experience.
