Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct and document comprehensive mental health evaluations through preliminary interviews, maintaining detailed records from initial consultations to treatment completion.

• Assess clients' mental, emotional, and behavioral health to inform the development of tailored intervention and recovery plans for individuals, couples, families, and groups.

• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions, employing therapeutic techniques that foster a supportive atmosphere for dialogue and healing.

• Monitor and document client progress throughout the treatment lifecycle, adjusting strategies as necessary to ensure effective outcomes.

• Collaborate closely with other healthcare professionals, including physicians and social workers, to create holistic intervention plans that address comprehensive client needs.

• Provide follow-up care for clients admitted to hospitals, liaising with psychiatrists and attending physicians to ensure continuity of care.

• Proactively identify and mitigate behaviors that could hinder client recovery and wellness.

• Support family members and caregivers in managing the mental health challenges faced by their loved ones, educating them on coping strategies and available resources.

The Mental Health Counselor at Mind Addiction Counseling Services will work with a diverse clientele, including individuals seeking assistance with mental health disorders, addiction issues, relationship challenges, and emotional distress. Qualifications\n

• A Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Mental Health Counseling, or a related field from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMFT, LPCC, LCSW, etc.) in the state of California.

• Successful completion of the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• Demonstrated clinical experience as a mental health counselor, highlighting a track record of effective treatment delivery.

• Strong proficiency in using electronic health record systems, with emphasis on platforms like AVATAR.

Preferred Experience\n

• Familiarity with best practices established by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).
