Orthopedic Physical Therapist - Full-Time at Powerback Rehabilitation Center

We are seeking a dedicated Orthopedic Physical Therapist to join our team at Powerback Physical Therapy Clinic, located in the vibrant community of Fredericksburg, Virginia. Work Environment

Located onsite at our state-of-the-art Rehabilitation Center in Fredericksburg, Virginia, our facility is equipped with advanced therapeutic equipment and technology to support a broad spectrum of rehabilitation needs. Operating within a close-knit team of healthcare professionals, you will find yourself in a supportive environment that encourages continuous learning and improvement. The typical weekly schedule encompasses 40 hours with variable weekends to ensure comprehensive coverage for our patients.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments to evaluate patients' physical capabilities and limitations, creating tailored treatment plans designed to address their specific orthopedic needs.
• Collaborate effectively with healthcare providers to ensure seamless coordination of patient care, taking a holistic approach to each individual's rehabilitation.
• Implement and adjust therapeutic interventions based on ongoing evaluations and patient feedback, ensuring rehabilitation goals are met in a timely manner.
• Engage in routine patient education, explaining treatment processes and encouraging active participation in their recovery.
• Document all patient interactions accurately, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards while submitting charges for services rendered.
• Supervise and mentor assigned support staff, fostering a learning environment and optimizing team dynamics.
• Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives and community outreach efforts to uplift the standards of our practice and service delivery.
• Attend regular staff meetings and partake in professional development opportunities to sharpen your skills and knowledge in the field.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your role will primarily involve working with patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and chronic musculoskeletal conditions. Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy is required; however, a Doctorate in Physical Therapy is preferred for this role.
• Possession of an active and unrestricted license to practice physical therapy.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with patients, families, and healthcare staff.
• Experience in handling diverse patient populations and demonstrating empathy and cultural competence.

Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, prior experience in an orthopedic setting or with rehabilitation of sports-related injuries is highly desirable. Experience with electronic medical record (EMR) systems will also be considered an asset, allowing you to manage patient documentation and communication efficiently.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary range of USD 100,000 to 120,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
