Work Environment

This position is onsite at our state-of-the-art rehabilitation center located in the heart of Lehigh Acres, Florida. Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat patients in line with their recovery needs from injuries, surgical procedures, or chronic conditions, utilizing onsite therapy sessions.
• Design and implement individualized treatment plans that integrate a variety of therapeutic methods, including therapeutic exercises, stretching maneuvers, manual therapy techniques, and the use of advanced fitness equipment.
• Continuously track patient progress, documenting treatments, responses, and outcomes in a timely manner to ensure comprehensive patient records.
• Regularly reassess and redefine therapeutic goals, adapting treatment plans to reflect the evolving needs and progress of each patient.
• Advise patients on the appropriate use of assistive devices and provide fitting services when necessary, ensuring a smooth transition to independent mobility.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers on effective physical therapy techniques and assistive modalities, enhancing their involvement in the rehabilitation process.
• Stay updated on emerging trends and practices in physical therapy through continued education workshops, professional networking, and the exploration of industry literature.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will be working with a diverse patient population, focusing primarily on individuals recovering from orthopedic injuries, surgeries, and conditions such as arthritis, sports injuries, and post-operative rehabilitation. Your ability to communicate effectively with patients and tailor your approach to their unique backgrounds and experiences will be crucial in promoting successful recovery outcomes.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• A valid state license to practice physical therapy in Florida.
• Proficient verbal and written communication skills, vital for patient interaction and documentation.
• Proficiency in computer skills and electronic health record systems to maintain accurate patient records.
• A flexible and agile mindset, capable of adapting treatment plans to meet the dynamic needs of patients.

Preferred Experience

• While prior experience is not required, candidates with previous internship or clinical experience in orthopedic settings will be prioritized.
• Experience in patient education and the ability to engage with diverse populations.

Compensation and Benefits
