Calm in Motion Counseling Services is actively seeking a dedicated and empathetic Licensed Mental Health Therapist to join our compassionate team. This full-time position is oriented towards professionals who are passionate about providing specialized mental health care to individuals who have experienced trauma, including but not limited to post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), complex trauma, and dissociative disorders.

Work Environment\n

This role is primarily remote, allowing flexibility while still contributing to a cohesive team environment. Our outpatient office models a collaborative culture and emphasizes interaction through regular meetings and case consultations to ensure all therapists are working in alignment with our mission of trauma-informed care. The typical work schedule is Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with some flexibility to accommodate patient needs.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate each patient’s history and treatment needs, paving the way for a customized care plan.

• Develop, implement, and adjust individualized treatment plans aimed at fostering trauma recovery and building resilience.
\n
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including but not limited to Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions to empower clients in processing their trauma, enhancing emotional regulation, and developing effective coping strategies.
\n
• Collaborate with psychiatrists and multidisciplinary teams to provide integrated, holistic care tailored to our clients' unique situations.

• Offer crisis intervention and immediate support during trauma-related emergencies, ensuring clients receive timely assistance when they need it most.

• Provide education to clients and their families about trauma responses, coping mechanisms, and available community resources to further support the recovery process.

• Maintain accurate case documentation in adherence to legal and ethical standards, ensuring confidentiality and integrity of patient information.

• Participate actively in team meetings, case consultations, and continuous learning opportunities to enhance trauma-informed care practices.

• Stay informed about ongoing developments and best practices in the field of trauma therapy to improve patient outcomes consistently.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our ideal client population includes individuals affected by trauma, including survivors of abuse, combat veterans, and those experiencing complex emotional challenges. As a therapist at Calm in Motion, you will work intimately with clients to help them navigate their trauma and build skills that foster healing and recovery.

Qualifications\n

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
\n
• Current and valid licensure as either a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Texas.

• Strong knowledge of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment modalities.
\n
• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and other relevant software applications.
\n
• The ability to communicate clearly, compassionately, and effectively with patients and their families.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience in the mental health field, particularly in providing trauma-focused therapy.

• Demonstrated experience in delivering trauma-focused therapies and working with diverse populations.

Compensation and Benefits\n
