Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments through initial consultations and ongoing evaluations, documenting all findings to map client progress effectively.

• Develop individualized treatment plans that incorporate therapeutic interventions tailored to each client’s unique needs, ensuring evidence-based practices are utilized.

• Facilitate structured individual therapy sessions and group therapy to foster healing, skill development, and peer support.

• Regularly monitor and assess client progress, adapting treatment strategies as necessary to ensure positive outcomes and addressing any barriers to recovery.

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists and primary care providers, to enhance overall client care and ensure a holistic approach to mental health.

• Identify prevention strategies for disruptive behaviors and support clients and their families in managing challenges related to mental health.

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic health records to comply with state regulations and organizational policies.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited program.

• Current licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Texas.

• Successful completion and passing of the NCE and/or NCMHCE examinations.
\n
• Proficiency in utilizing electronic health record systems, with a preference for experience in AVATAR or similar platforms.
\n
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a commitment to maintaining professionalism and empathy.
\n
• Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to build rapport and trust with diverse clients.

Preferred Experience\n

• Previous experience as a mental health counselor in a clinical setting.
\n
• Familiarity with the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) best practices and ethical guidelines.

• Experience addressing co-occurring disorders, including substance use disorders, along with mental health issues.

• Insight into the pharmacological treatments utilized by general practitioners, including knowledge of potential side effects impacting therapy.

Compensation and Benefits\n
