Independence Therapy Center is actively seeking a dedicated and skilled Licensed Mental Health Therapist to join our team. In this full-time position, you will play a critical role in delivering remote mental health services to individuals who have experienced trauma. You will utilize your knowledge and expertise to assist clients on their paths to healing and recovery, ensuring they receive the highest quality of care.

Work Environment\n

This role is entirely remote, allowing for maximum flexibility and convenience. You will be conducting all sessions via telehealth, providing you with the opportunity to connect with clients in a comfortable environment while maintaining a balanced work-life schedule. The work hours will primarily be Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, although some flexibility may be required based on patient demands.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive, trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate each patient’s trauma history and formulate a tailored treatment approach.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that focus on trauma recovery and building resilience in collaboration with the client.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic methodologies, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), during sessions.

• Work collaboratively with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure cohesive and integrated patient care.
\n
• Provide crisis intervention support, offering immediate assistance during trauma-related emergencies.
\n
• Educate patients and their families about trauma responses and coping strategies, as well as available resources for ongoing support.
\n
• Maintain accurate, confidential documentation of patient interactions in compliance with legal and ethical standards.

• Engage in regular case consultations and team meetings to contribute to shared learning and continuous improvement of trauma-informed practices.

• Stay current with the latest research and best practices in trauma therapy to enhance patient outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on working with individuals who've experienced various forms of trauma, including those with PTSD, complex trauma histories, and specific dissociative disorders. This role requires a nuanced understanding of trauma's effects on mental health and an ability to provide empathetic and therapeutic support to facilitate healing.

Qualifications\n

• Master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Oregon.
\n
• Strong foundational knowledge of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment approaches.
\n
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a compassionate and non-judgmental demeanor.

• Ability to maintain professionalism and poise during high-stress situations.
\n
• Proficient in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and other computer applications related to telehealth practice.

• A collaborative spirit, eager to work as a part of a multidisciplinary team.

Preferred Experience\n

While a minimum of two years of post-licensure experience is preferred, candidates with diverse experiences in trauma-focused therapeutic interventions, crisis intervention strategies, and the ability to work with varied patient demographics will be given significant consideration. Familiarity with evidence-based practices in trauma therapy is essential.

Compensation and Benefits\n
