Key Responsibilities\n

• Conducting thorough preliminary interviews and assessments with clients to document mental, behavioral, and emotional health from initial contact through discharge.

• Developing tailored treatment and recovery plans based on comprehensive evaluations and individual client needs.
\n
• Leading individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing evidence-based practices and interventions that address the diverse needs of clients.
\n
• Monitoring and documenting client progress throughout the treatment plan and making necessary adjustments to optimize outcomes.

• Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists, primary care physicians, and social workers to coordinate integrated care approaches.

• Following up with healthcare providers for clients requiring hospital services to ensure continuity of care.

• Identifying risk behaviors that may hinder recovery and implementing strategies to prevent relapse.

• Offering guidance and support to family members and caregivers of clients, helping them navigate the complexities of mental health challenges.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our clients represent a diverse range of backgrounds and experiences, including adults, couples, and families dealing with anxiety, depression, substance abuse, trauma, and relationship issues. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to culturally competent care, recognizing the unique challenges faced by each client.

Qualifications\n

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• You must hold current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, or LICSW in the state of Massachusetts.
\n
• Successful completion of the National Counselor Examination (NCE) or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• Prior experience working as a mental health counselor, demonstrating a depth of understanding in therapeutic practices and client engagement.

• Proficiency in electronic health record systems, specifically experience with AVATAR or similar platforms.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience with co-occurring physical and mental health conditions, as well as addiction disorders.

• Familiarity with best practices as outlined by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) is a plus.

• In-depth knowledge about psychotropic medications and their implications on mental health treatment.

• Demonstrated excellence in verbal and written communication skills, facilitating effective client interactions and documentation.

Compensation and Benefits\n
