Work Environment

The role of Physical Therapist requires onsite engagement, primarily within our clients' homes throughout South River and the surrounding areas. Key Responsibilities

• Direct physical therapy treatment to enhance client mobility, alleviate pain, and restore optimal function according to each unique plan of care.
• Oversee and mentor physical therapy assistants, ensuring they adhere to care plans while delivering quality treatment.
• Conduct thorough evaluations of clients' functional abilities using diagnostic tests to inform treatment goals.
• Assess the home environment to identify adaptations that enhance mobility and independence for clients.
• Administer prescribed physical therapy services in clients' homes, collaborating with the referring physician to ensure comprehensive care.
• Implement therapeutic exercises, utilizing both manual and non-manual techniques to motivate and guide clients towards their rehabilitation goals.
• Evaluate, fit, and suggest modifications for prosthetic and orthotic devices, working closely with healthcare providers.
• Contribute to the development, implementation, and revision of individualized care plans, ensuring collaboration with interdisciplinary team members.
• Track and document client progress, addressing any changes in condition with actionable insights to the client's physician and case manager.
• Engage with clients and their families to educate them about treatment protocols and assistive devices.
• Maintain accurate clinical records, including evaluations, care plans, and progress notes, while adhering to regulatory standards.
• Participate actively in case conferences, providing insights into treatment progress and collaboratively updating care plans.
• Serve as a resource for Physical Therapy Assistants, ensuring their practice aligns with state regulations and best practices.
• Support additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned to enhance operational efficiency and patient care.

The ideal candidate will provide care to a diverse population, including elderly clients, individuals recovering from surgery, and those managing chronic conditions or disabilities. Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• Active Physical Therapist license in New Jersey, with a clean history devoid of sanctions or board proceedings.
• Exceptional manual therapy skills complemented by a keen ability to develop and implement effective exercise regimens for a variety of conditions.
• Competence in using electronic medical records (EMR) software, particularly Web PT, for accurate and timely documentation.

Compensation and Benefits

The position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from $100,000 to $120,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
