This position offers a remote work setting, enabling therapists to work flexibly while connecting with clients in their communities. The hybrid approach allows therapists to conduct sessions in clients’ homes or at our outpatient clinic in Miami, Florida. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct individual therapy sessions tailored to each child’s needs, either in the client’s home or at the outpatient office, fostering a comfortable and trusting therapeutic environment.

• Develop and implement treatment plans that address key areas such as anger management, coping strategies, and social skills development, while actively working to reduce high-risk behaviors such as self-injury and physical aggression.

• Focus on enhancing decision-making skills for adolescents and their caregivers, enabling them to effectively tackle behavioral challenges at home.
\n
• Collaborate regularly with the Child Family Treatment Team and other multidisciplinary professionals to ensure a cohesive approach to therapy that maximizes positive outcomes for clients.

• Maintain accurate and timely documentation, including intake records, treatment plans, and session notes, compliant with clinical standards and regulations.
\n
• Participate in monthly team meetings, offering insights and recommendations to improve service delivery and client care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on children and adolescents aged 3 to 20, particularly those who experience developmental disabilities and cognitive impairments. As a therapist, you will have the opportunity to make a substantial impact on their overall mental health and emotional well-being, assisting families in navigating the challenges associated with these conditions.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related field.

• An active and unrestricted Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) license.

• Availability for a minimum of 5-10 hours per week, particularly during after-school hours (4-7 pm), with flexibility on weekends being a plus.

• A valid driver’s license and accessible transportation for home visits.
\n
• Successful completion of a criminal background check, including fingerprinting.
\n

Preferred Experience\n

• Prior experience working with children and adolescents, especially those with intellectual or developmental disabilities (I/DD).

• Experience providing positive behavior support, emphasizing behavioral modification strategies.

• Bilingual skills in Spanish or Portuguese are highly regarded, allowing for greater accessibility to a diverse client base.

Compensation and Benefits\n
