Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients' functional abilities and limitations, collaboratively developing individualized treatment plans that effectively address their needs.
• Implement hands-on therapy sessions, utilizing tailored exercise plans and manual therapy techniques to relieve pain, enhance function, and improve the overall quality of life for patients.
• Educate patients and their families on exercise regimens, self-care techniques, and lifestyle adjustments to ensure continuity of care outside the therapy environment.
• Work closely with interdisciplinary healthcare professionals to maintain a cohesive approach to patient care, ensuring that treatment addresses all aspects of a patient's rehabilitation and recovery process.
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient assessments, treatments, and progress to meet regulatory requirements and facilitate ongoing management of care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on patients recovering from orthopedic procedures, those managing chronic musculoskeletal conditions, and individuals suffering from sports-related injuries. You will interact with a varied demographic, including active adults seeking to return to recreational activities, elderly individuals striving to maintain independence, and athletes focused on optimal performance and recovery.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution is required.
• An active state license in Florida to practice as a Physical Therapist is essential.
• Strong foundational knowledge in musculoskeletal anatomy, physiology, and pathology.

Preferred Experience

• 3 to 5 years of clinical experience in orthopedic physical therapy, ideally including internships or residency programs providing comprehensive exposure to diverse patient populations and therapy modalities.
