Work Environment

This full-time position requires an onsite presence at our rehabilitation facility. The environment is dynamic and client-focused, ensuring that practitioners have the resources necessary to implement individualized treatment plans. You will be part of a tight-knit team of two physical therapists and one physical therapy assistant (PTA), working collaboratively to provide the highest standard of care in an orthopedic outpatient setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments to identify the goals and needs of each patient, establishing a baseline for customized treatment plans.
• Manage a patient caseload effectively, typically one individual per hour, ensuring focused and personalized care.
• Design and implement evidence-based treatment protocols aimed at enhancing patients' mobility and strength through consultation with the clinical team.
• Provide an array of services including manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and educational guidance on pain management and recovery strategies.
• Utilize modern therapeutic modalities and tools to facilitate effective treatment, including the use of EMR software like WebPT for efficient documentation and progress tracking.
• Monitor patient progress rigorously, adjusting care strategies as needed based on individual response to treatment.
• Incorporate motivational interviewing techniques to engage patients, fostering a sense of accountability and ownership over their rehabilitation journey.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians, occupational therapists, and other specialists, to optimize holistic patient care.
• Document all patient interactions, treatment plans, and progress updates in compliance with regulatory requirements and facility standards.
• Advocate for preventive healthcare practices, including education on maintaining a healthy lifestyle and injury prevention techniques.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role primarily serves an orthopedic population, including post-operative patients and those managing chronic pain or mobility issues. Your expertise will guide patients of all ages in overcoming physical limitations due to injuries, surgeries, or degenerative conditions. Understanding the unique challenges faced by each individual will be paramount in crafting effective therapeutic interventions.

Qualifications

• A Master's or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution is required.
• Possession of a valid state license to practice as a Physical Therapist in Florida.
• Demonstrated ability to maintain an exemplary professional record without any prior board or disciplinary actions.
• Strong proficiency in manual therapy techniques and development of functional exercise protocols.
• Ability to use EMR systems efficiently, specifically WebPT, to streamline patient documentation and care coordination.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience working as a Physical Therapist in an orthopedic outpatient clinic is highly desirable.
• Experience in implementing wellness and fitness programs tailored to individual patient needs.
• Demonstrated success in patient engagement and adherence to treatment plans, providing a holistic view of patient care.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary range of $90,000 to $120,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
