Work Environment\n

We offer a flexible remote work setting, allowing you to manage your schedule while providing essential support to clients. Our outpatient office in Peoria serves as a hub for collaboration, ensuring that our counselors have access to a multidisciplinary team that includes psychiatrists and other mental health professionals. Working between 7 am and 10 pm, seven days a week, we understand the importance of work-life balance and are proud to provide no required call and no-show protection.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct in-depth trauma-informed mental health assessments to thoroughly evaluate clients' trauma histories and determine effective treatment strategies.

• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans focusing on trauma recovery and enhancing resilience, utilizing evidence-based approaches.

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions that provide clients with the skills to process trauma and develop effective coping mechanisms.

• Employ specialized therapeutic interventions including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).

• Engage in collaborative care coordination with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive treatment for clients.

• Provide timely crisis intervention to clients who experience distress related to trauma, offering compassionate support during critical moments.

• Educate clients and their families about trauma responses, coping strategies, and available mental health resources.

• Maintain detailed and confidential documentation of client progress and treatment plans, adhering to legal and ethical standards.

• Participate actively in team meetings, case consultations, and ongoing professional development activities focused on trauma-informed care practices.

• Stay informed on the latest research and best practices in trauma therapy to enhance service delivery.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our primary focus is on individuals and families experiencing a range of issues rooted in trauma. We work with a diverse patient population, requiring our counselors to apply their expertise in trauma-informed modalities to support clients from various backgrounds and experience levels. We welcome professionals who also wish to expand their skillset by seeing couples, with training provided.

Qualifications\n

• Master's or doctoral degree in Mental Health Counseling from an accredited institution.

• Valid and current licensure as an LCPC in the state of Illinois.

Compensation and Benefits\n
