Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments to identify the specific needs and goals of individuals seeking treatment for substance use disorders, utilizing tools such as standardized screening instruments and clinical interviews.

• Craft personalized treatment plans that incorporate evidence-based interventions tailored to each patient's circumstances and recovery goals, regularly updating these plans as needed.

• Provide individual counseling sessions, employing therapeutic approaches such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and motivational interviewing to guide patients through their recovery.

• Facilitate engaging group therapy sessions aimed at fostering peer support and community among individuals battling addiction, which can include sessions focusing on coping strategies and life skills.

• Work closely with other healthcare professionals, such as psychiatrists and addiction specialists, to ensure patients receive holistic and coordinated care.

• Offer immediate crisis intervention and stabilization during substance-related emergencies, utilizing de-escalation techniques and connecting patients to appropriate resources.

• Educate patients and their families about addiction, treatment options, and available recovery resources, reinforcing their role in the recovery process.

• Maintain detailed and confidential clinical documentation in compliance with HIPAA and other regulatory standards, ensuring all records are accurate and up-to-date.

• Participate in regular team meetings and case consultations to share insights and contribute to collective learning within our multidisciplinary team.

• Stay current with the latest advancements in mental health treatment for substance use disorders, integrating new research into clinical practice.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on individuals struggling with substance use disorders and their families. Many of our clients come from diverse backgrounds and may face multiple challenges, including co-occurring mental health issues. By employing evidence-based practices, you will play a critical role in guiding them through recovery while emphasizing the importance of family involvement and community support.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Texas is essential.
\n
• Demonstrated strong understanding of substance use disorders, treatment methodologies, and recovery-oriented practices.
\n
• Previous experience delivering both individual and group therapy within addiction treatment settings is highly preferred.
\n
• Exceptional interpersonal skills, with a strong ability to build rapport with patients and communicate with empathy and understanding.

• Commitment to maintaining professional boundaries, ethical standards, and patient confidentiality in all interactions.

• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and the capability to leverage technology for efficient patient management.

• Ability to work cooperatively within a multidisciplinary team and respond flexibly to the dynamic needs of patients and the organization.

Preferred Experience\n

• 3 or more years of clinical experience in mental health or addiction therapy is preferred.

• Experience with teletherapy platforms and remote patient engagement strategies is an advantage.

• Knowledge of local and statewide resources related to addiction and mental health services would be beneficial.

Compensation and Benefits\n

We offer a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 70,000 to 100,000, commensurate with experience. This role includes opportunities for additional bonuses as well as a sign-on bonus for qualified candidates.
