Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations to develop individualized therapy plans that are personalized to meet the distinct needs of each client.

• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and solution-focused brief therapy, to address a variety of mental health challenges.

• Provide group therapy sessions focused on building self-esteem, coping strategies, and family communication to strengthen support networks.

• Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, social workers, and administrative staff, to ensure a holistic approach to client care.

• Document treatment progress and adapt therapy plans based on individual client feedback and outcomes accurately, ensuring compliance with organizational policies.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our client population primarily consists of individuals and families with limited access to mental health care. You will work with diverse demographics facing a variety of mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance misuse. A culturally sensitive approach is essential as you navigate the unique challenges and backgrounds of our clients, ensuring they feel seen and supported throughout their healing journeys.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field is mandatory.

• Active and unrestricted licensure as a Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Texas is required.
\n
• A minimum of two years of counseling experience, particularly within a clinical setting, is a prerequisite.

• Proficiency with various therapeutic modalities tailored to meet the needs of diverse populations.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience in family and couples therapy, as well as specialization in trauma-informed care, is highly desired.

Compensation and Benefits\n

Excela Behavioral Health offers a competitive annual salary range of USD 80,000 – 90,000, commensurate with experience and caseload.
