Work Environment

This full-time position is onsite at our Rehabilitation Center located in the heart of Bakersfield, a vibrant city known for its supportive community and growing healthcare services. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of each patient's physical condition to identify key areas for improvement and create customized therapy plans that address both immediate and long-term rehabilitation goals.
• Employ a variety of evidence-based treatment modalities including manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and modalities such as heat, cold, electrical stimulation, and ultrasound to facilitate recovery.
• Closely monitor and document patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed to respond to changes in their condition, ensuring the effectiveness of therapy interventions.
• Educate patients about their diagnoses, explaining treatment processes and expected outcomes to foster understanding and cooperation, and provide tailored home exercise programs to support recovery.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of healthcare providers, including physicians, occupational therapists, and speech therapists, to pursue a comprehensive, whole-body approach to each patient's recovery.
• Build rapport with patients by providing encouragement, emotional support, and motivation, thereby enhancing their engagement in the rehabilitation process.

Our patient population spans a wide range of ages and conditions, from post-surgical recovery and sports injuries in adult patients to rehabilitation for pediatric clients. Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• A valid state license or eligibility for licensure to practice as a Physical Therapist in California.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey information to patients, families, and colleagues.
• Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.

Preferred Experience

• Two years of experience as a practicing Physical Therapist, ideally within pediatrics or acute care settings, is preferred but not mandatory.
• Familiarity with patient management systems and electronic health records (EHR) to maintain accurate patient documentation efficiently.

Compensation and Benefits
