Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations and assessments of patients to determine their functional abilities and physical limitations, followed by developing and implementing evidence-based treatment plans.
• Oversee and mentor rehabilitation assistants and technicians, ensuring that they adhere to treatment guidelines and provide high-quality patient care.
• Facilitate therapeutic exercises, manual therapies, and modality applications while monitoring patient progress and adjusting treatment plans as necessary to meet individual goals.
• Maintain meticulous documentation of patient interactions, treatment sessions, and progress reports to comply with both internal standards and external healthcare regulations.
• Engage in patient education, providing information about treatment procedures and self-care techniques that foster independence and promote recovery.
• Collaborate with referring physicians and other healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive and coordinated patient care.
• Participate in clinical team meetings to discuss patient cases, share insights, and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will work with a diverse patient population, including individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and chronic pain conditions. Your ability to connect with patients of all ages will be essential as you provide care to children, adults, and seniors with varying needs. Tailoring your approach to meet the unique challenges faced by each patient will play a pivotal role in their recovery journey.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program that is recognized by the American Physical Therapy Association.
• Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in the state of California.
• Current American Heart Association (AHA) Healthcare Provider CPR certification.
• Strong interpersonal skills that foster rapport with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
• Proven ability to operate physical therapy equipment and perform objective functional evaluations competently.

Preferred Experience

A minimum of 2 years of experience in orthopedic physical therapy is highly preferred. Experience in managing complex patient cases will be advantageous, as you will be expected to handle a range of diagnoses effectively and develop comprehensive care strategies.
