Full-Time Licensed Physical Health Therapist for Orthopedic Rehabilitation

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Full-Time Licensed Physical Health Therapist to join our exceptional team at Meridian Shine Movement Rehab & Wellness Center located in Bakersfield, California. This role is pivotal in guiding our patients on their journey to restore mobility and enhance their overall quality of life through tailored physical therapy interventions.

Work Environment

This position is onsite at our facility, where we foster a collaborative atmosphere that values teamwork and continuous professional development. You will be part of a dedicated team of two fellow physical therapists and one physical therapy assistant (PTA), working together to provide exceptional care to our patients within our modern rehabilitation center.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess the physical condition and specific needs of each patient, developing individualized treatment plans tailored to achieve rehabilitation goals.
• Efficiently manage a patient load of one person per hour, ensuring high-quality care and thorough attention to detail during each session.
• Utilize various therapeutic techniques, exercises, and modalities to enhance mobility, strength, and functional performance.
• Educate patients on injury prevention, management, and the importance of adherence to prescribed home exercise programs.
• Collaborate with healthcare colleagues to develop cohesive treatment strategies, integrating feedback and insights to optimize patient outcomes.
• Thoroughly document all patient interactions, treatment methods, and progress in our electronic medical record (EMR) system, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
• Provide motivation and emotional support to patients throughout their rehabilitation process, fostering a positive and encouraging environment.
• Work towards reducing patients' reliance on medications and invasive procedures by implementing effective non-invasive treatments.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our patient population primarily consists of individuals recovering from orthopedic conditions including post-surgical rehabilitation, sports injuries, and chronic pain disorders. As a therapist, you will engage with patients of varying ages and backgrounds, customizing your approach to their unique challenges and rehabilitation goals.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy (or a Doctorate in Physical Therapy is preferred).
• Valid California physical therapy license with no disciplinary actions.
• Proven experience (minimum 3 years) in an orthopedic outpatient setting.
• Strong competency in using manual therapy techniques and exercise regimens to develop effective treatment strategies.
• Excellent communication skills and a patient-centered approach to care.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in a private practice setting.
• Proficiency with EMR systems, specifically WebPT or similar platforms.
• Experience in developing wellness and fitness programs to promote long-term health benefits.

Compensation and Benefits

This full-time position offers a competitive annual salary in the range of USD 100,000 – 120,000, commensurate with experience, plus a comprehensive benefits package that includes health, dental, and vision insurance, retirement savings plan options, and ongoing professional development opportunities.
