The TheraSense Movement Rehab & Wellness Center in Bakersfield, California, is actively seeking a dedicated Full-Time Orthopedic Physical Therapist to enhance our team. Our practice is owned by physical therapists who are committed to providing tailored care to our patients, predominantly covered by private medical insurance. Our facility spans over 5,000 square feet and is equipped with advanced sports medicine equipment designed to support optimal recovery and rehabilitation.

Work Environment

This role is based onsite at our Bakersfield practice, where you will work collaboratively with a team of two physical therapists and one Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA). The working hours are Monday through Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, enabling a consistent and supportive environment for both the staff and our patients.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and assess patients' goals and requirements, ensuring individualized rehabilitation plans that address their unique needs.
• Manage a patient caseload effectively, seeing one patient per hour to provide focused and attentive care.
• Leverage your expertise in orthopedic outpatient settings to deliver high-quality, evidence-based treatments that enhance patients' mobility.
• Design comprehensive care plans that incorporate various treatment methodologies, including manual therapy and exercise protocols.
• Encourage patients in their rehabilitation journey, optimizing their functional outcomes and promoting a healthy lifestyle.
• Document all patient interactions and treatment outcomes thoroughly, maintaining clear and accurate records for compliance and quality assurance.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and coordinated patient care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a physical therapist at TheraSense, you will engage with a diverse patient population, tailoring your interventions to meet the specific challenges faced by each individual.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy. A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is preferred.
• Must possess a valid California Physical Therapy license.
• A clean professional record with no prior board or disciplinary actions against your license.
• Strong proficiency in manual therapy techniques and experience in developing exercise protocols tailored to individual needs.
• Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems, particularly WebPT, to streamline documentation processes.

Preferred Experience

• At least two years of experience working in an orthopedic outpatient setting is preferred.
• Demonstrated success in implementing cost-effective and evidence-based treatment plans.
• Ability to motivate and inspire patients throughout their recovery process, fostering a supportive therapeutic alliance.

Compensation and Benefits
