Capital Life Orthopedics is seeking a dedicated and passionate full-time Orthopedic Physical Therapist to join our team in Bakersfield, California. This role is crucial in our mission to provide exceptional rehabilitation services that empower patients to regain mobility and improve their quality of life. You will play a vital role in delivering comprehensive care through effective patient assessment, treatment planning, and intervention.

At Capital Life Orthopedics, we focus on outpatient orthopedic rehabilitation, operating from a state-of-the-art 5000 square foot facility designed for sports medicine. Our practice is committed to delivering high-quality, evidence-based care tailored to each patient's needs. We mainly work with individuals covered by private medical insurance, which reflects our dedication to accessible and effective therapy solutions.

Work Environment

Located in the heart of Bakersfield, our rehabilitation center offers an onsite, friendly, and cooperative environment, where collaboration with medical professionals is encouraged. As part of a small team of two physical therapists and one physical therapy assistant, you will have the advantage of personalized, hands-on support while fostering a respectful and positive atmosphere for both staff and patients. Our work schedule is Monday to Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a balanced work-life structure.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient evaluations to accurately identify goals and treatment needs.
• Manage a patient load of one individual per hour for effective, personalized care.
• Utilize best practice methodologies to deliver tailored orthopedic outpatient therapy.
• Formulate comprehensive care plans that incorporate diverse treatment techniques and evidence-based practices.
• Implement innovative fitness and wellness programs to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.
• Maintain clear and consistent communication with patients and other healthcare providers regarding treatment progress and needs.
• Document all services and treatments delivered, ensuring compliance with clinical standards and patient records management.
• Foster a motivating and supportive environment, encouraging patients throughout their rehabilitation journey.
• Promote healthy lifestyle habits by focusing on strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination improvements.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our primary focus is on patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries and injuries, including but not limited to joint replacements, sports injuries, and musculoskeletal disorders. We strive to minimize pain and improve functionality, enabling individuals to return to their daily activities and recreational pursuits more effectively. Your understanding of the unique challenges these patients face will be vital in providing individualized care that resonates with their rehabilitation goals.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
• An active Physical Therapist license in California with no disciplinary actions recorded.
• Demonstrated expertise in manual therapy techniques and a strong foundation in rehabilitation theory.
• Proficiency in developing and implementing effective exercise programs tailored to patient needs.
• Experience using electronic medical records (EMR) software, particularly WebPT.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in an orthopedic outpatient setting is preferred.
• Strong background in patient assessment methodologies and developing care plans.
• Experience in using technology to track patient progress and outcomes effectively.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of USD 100,000 to 125,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
