Full-Time Orthopedic Physical Therapist in Home Care

Work Environment

As a Physical Therapist at Arcadia, you will work directly in the homes of our patients, creating a comfortable and supportive environment tailored to their unique needs. This onsite role allows you to establish strong rapport with clients while effectively evaluating their progress in real-time, within the context of their everyday lives. Standard work hours are Monday to Friday from 9 am to 5 pm, ensuring a balanced schedule while meeting our patients' needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify patient needs and establish treatment goals.
• Develop and implement personalized care plans utilizing evidence-based treatment techniques.
• Maintain a manageable patient load with a focus on providing one-on-one care, averaging one patient per hour.
• Utilize advanced manual therapy skills to improve patients' motion and mobility.
• Educate patients on exercises and lifestyle changes that promote recovery and rehabilitation.
• Explore non-invasive treatment options to minimize reliance on medications.
• Document patient progress and treatment outcomes using electronic medical records (EMR) systems like WebPT.
• Motivate and support patients throughout their rehabilitation process, ensuring they feel empowered and engaged in their recovery.
• Collaborate effectively with other healthcare team members to coordinate care and optimize patient outcomes.
• Continuously monitor patient progress, adjust treatment plans as necessary, and maintain open lines of communication with patients and their families.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on individuals recovering from orthopedic conditions such as post-surgical rehabilitation, sports injuries, and chronic pain syndromes. You will work with a diverse patient population, tailoring treatment plans that respect each individual's preferences, physical capabilities, and lifestyle. By providing personalized care in a home-based setting, you will have the opportunity to make a significant difference in each patient's recovery journey.

Qualifications

• Valid license to practice as a Physical Therapist in the state of California.
• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy, with a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree preferred.
• At least three years of experience in orthopedic outpatient care, demonstrating a solid understanding of relevant treatments and techniques.
• No disciplinary actions or board actions against your license.
• Exceptional manual therapy skills and proficiency in designing effective exercise regimens.
• Experience with EMR systems, particularly WebPT, and familiarity with documentation best practices.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience in home health settings is an advantage.
• Knowledge of current best practices in physical therapy and rehabilitation.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively connect with patients and their families.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position ranges from USD 100,000 to 125,000 annually, commensurate with experience and education.
