OrthoSport PT is actively seeking a dedicated and experienced full-time Orthopedic Physical Therapist to join our team in Bakersfield, California. Work Environment

This position is primarily home-based, allowing you to work in a comfortable, supportive environment. You will travel to various client residences within Bakersfield and surrounding areas. Daily hours are scheduled from Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a balance between work and personal time. Key Responsibilities

• Perform thorough evaluations of each patient's physical condition, utilizing advanced diagnostic techniques to identify dysfunctions related to various medical problems, injuries, or health conditions.
• Create individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings, medical history, and specific patient goals to promote optimal recovery.
• Administer and prescribe effective physical agent modalities and tailored exercise programs, adjusting these as necessary based on patient progress.
• Demonstrate clinical reasoning and professional judgement in conducting ongoing assessments and making evidence-based modifications to treatment plans.
• Carefully document all patient interactions, evaluations, and progress notes per state and federal regulations to meet compliance standards.
• Collaborate closely with other healthcare professionals and patient support staff to coordinate care and discharge planning effectively.
• Educate patients and their families about therapy processes, programs, and exercises to empower them throughout their healing journey.
• Maintain a clean, safe working environment in accordance with company policies and keep abreast of any equipment maintenance updates.
• Stay proactive in professional development, participating in any mandatory compliance training necessary to maintain licensure and credentialing.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist, you will primarily work with adult and geriatric populations, assisting them in recovering from surgeries, injuries, and chronic conditions like arthritis or post-fracture rehabilitation. Your expertise will help patients regain their independence and lead fulfilling lives. We emphasize a personalized approach, ensuring each patient's unique needs are prioritized during your sessions.

Qualifications

• Active California Physical Therapist License required upon hire.
• Completion of an accredited Physical Therapy program leading to a Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy.
• National Provider Identifier (NPI) must be obtained prior to commencing employment.
• Demonstrable clinical reasoning and compassionate patient care skills.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in orthopedic or rehabilitation settings is preferred.
• Previous experience in home health care settings is a distinct advantage, particularly in patient management and assessment practices.
• Ability to utilize electronic medical records (EMR) systems for documentation and patient management.

Compensation and Benefits
