Work Environment

This role is primarily onsite, focusing on home care for patients in Bakersfield. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess patients' physical conditions, functional capabilities, and rehabilitation needs, developing personalized treatment plans accordingly.
• Implement treatment programs that may include therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and education on injury prevention and rehabilitation.
• Regularly monitor and document patient progress, modifying treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal recovery and alignment with the physician's recommendations.
• Provide skilled therapeutic interventions in a patient's home, fostering an environment conducive to healing and recovery.
• Educate and train patients and their caregivers on effective home exercises and safe practices to maintain mobility and prevent recurrences of injuries.
• Demonstrate exceptional customer service, building rapport with patients and contributing positively to the clinic's overall patient satisfaction scores.
• Meet productivity goals and other business objectives through efficient case management and patient follow-ups.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Physical Therapist at Optimal Recovery, you will work with a diverse clientele, including patients needing orthopedic rehabilitation, sports injuries, pediatric therapy, and neurological rehabilitation. Your role is pivotal in facilitating recovery and enhancing the quality of life for these individuals, establishing a supportive and motivating environment.

Qualifications

• A graduate of a physical therapy program accredited by the APTA or CAPTE.
• Possession of a Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy.
• A valid Physical Therapy license issued by the state of California.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, ensuring clarity in patient instructions.
• Proficient in utilizing word processing and healthcare software to manage patient records and documentation.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience in home health care settings or outpatient physical therapy practice.
• Experience treating a variety of patient populations, particularly in orthopedics, pediatrics, and neurology.
• Demonstrated ability to develop strong therapeutic relationships with patients and their families.

Compensation and Benefits

This full-time position offers a competitive salary ranging from $100,000 to $120,000 annually, complemented by a robust benefits package. Benefits include:
