Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement personalized treatment plans aimed at relieving pain, restoring muscle function, and maximizing patient independence, based on the prescribed plan of care.
• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of clients' functional capabilities through diagnostic and prognostic assessments of muscle, nerve, joint, and overall physical abilities.
• Oversee and mentor Physical Therapy Assistants to ensure consistency in care delivery and adherence to treatment protocols.
• Conduct evaluations of clients' home environments and recommend adaptations to enhance accessibility and independence during rehabilitation.
• Administer therapeutic exercises, provide guidance on physical therapy methods, and utilize modalities such as traction and massage.
• Fit and adjust prosthetic and orthotic devices, collaborating with physicians for necessary modifications.
• Document client progress meticulously, including preparing initial evaluations, care plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries, maintaining compliance with local and federal regulations.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to collaboratively assess and adjust overall patient treatment approaches.
• Consult with patients and their families about care plans and educational needs, ensuring they are well-informed about their physical therapy journey.
• Meet regulatory and documentation deadlines while providing accessible support to Physical Therapy Assistants during client treatment sessions.
• Contribute to the company's objectives by completing additional duties as assigned and demonstrating flexibility in care delivery.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The client base includes individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, athletes recovering from injuries, and patients experiencing chronic musculoskeletal conditions. Our therapists are dedicated to tailoring treatment approaches based on each patient's unique needs, focusing not only on physical recovery but also on psychological and emotional support.

Qualifications

• Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• A valid and current license as a Physical Therapist in California.
• A strong capacity for critical thinking and creative problem-solving in clinical situations.
• Ability to make informed and challenging treatment decisions while taking responsibility for outcomes.

Preferred Experience

• At least one year of experience in a physical therapy role, ideally within an acute care or home care setting.
• Experience with electronic medical records and documentation software.
• Ability to foster positive relationships with patients and collaborate effectively within an interdisciplinary care team.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this position is between USD 90,000 and 110,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
