West Valley Physical Therapy Services is seeking a dedicated and passionate Full-Time Licensed Physical Therapist to join our team at our rehabilitation facility located in Bakersfield, California. Our state-of-the-art facility spans over 5,000 square feet and is equipped with the latest tools and technology to assist in the rehabilitation of our diverse patient base. We are a small, collaborative team consisting of two physical therapists and one physical therapist assistant (PTA), fostering an environment of support and professional development.

Work Environment

This position is based onsite in our specialized rehabilitation facility located in the heart of Bakersfield, California. The workweek runs from Monday to Friday, with working hours from 9 AM to 5 PM, ensuring you will enjoy a great work-life balance. Our facility emphasizes teamwork, allowing for collaboration among peers while providing an enriching environment to grow in the field of physical therapy.

Key Responsibilities

As a Licensed Physical Therapist in our facility, your responsibilities will include:

• Conducting thorough patient assessments to determine objectives and treatment requirements.
• Managing an efficient caseload of one patient per hour, ensuring each treatment session is personalized and effective.
• Utilizing a variety of treatment techniques to develop comprehensive care plans tailored to patients' individual needs.
• Delivering evidence-based interventions aimed at optimizing patients' motion and mobility.
• Documenting patient services and progress meticulously to adhere to healthcare standards.
• Providing education and motivation to patients to encourage adherence to therapeutic activities and optimal health practices.
• Promoting wellness through strength and flexibility training, enhancing patients' balance and coordination.
• Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to continuously assess treatment effectiveness and adjust care plans as necessary.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our practice specializes in orthopedic outpatient therapies, providing care primarily to patients recovering from surgical interventions, injuries, or other musculoskeletal conditions. You will engage with a diverse adult population, creating individualized programs that meet the specific needs of each patient, encourage their recovery, and support them in achieving their functional goals.

Qualifications

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• A valid license to practice as a Physical Therapist in California with a clean record, free from disciplinary actions.
• Demonstrated clinical skills in manual therapy techniques and comprehensive patient care.
• Competence in developing and implementing effective exercise regimens.
• Experience using electronic medical record (EMR) software, preferably WebPT.

Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, preferred qualifications include prior experience working in an orthopedic outpatient setting, proficiency in evidence-based practices, and a solid understanding of rehabilitation protocols tailored to various orthopedic conditions.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary ranging from $100,000 to $120,000 per year, accompanied by a comprehensive benefits package.
