Work Environment

This role is based onsite at our rehabilitation center in Bakersfield, where you will be part of a collaborative team consisting of two physical therapists and one physical therapy assistant (PTA). Our facility is designed to encourage patient engagement and optimize recovery through a supportive atmosphere, fostering communication among healthcare providers to best serve patient needs. The typical work schedule is Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct initial patient assessments to identify needs and create tailored treatment plans aimed at maximizing functional recovery.
• Manage a designated patient load, treating one patient per hour while ensuring adherence to their individualized care standards.
• Utilize a variety of treatment techniques, including manual therapy, to facilitate recovery, reduce pain, and improve mobility.
• Monitor and document patient progress consistently, adjusting treatment interventions as necessary to meet evolving patient needs.
• Ensure effective communication with patients to provide encouragement, motivation, and education about their recovery process.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to optimize multidisciplinary approaches to patient care and facilitate seamless referrals when necessary.
• Implement fitness and wellness programs designed to support patients' transitions back to their daily lives, promoting strength, balance, and overall health.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our facility caters primarily to individuals recovering from orthopedic disorders, injuries, and surgeries. The complexity of our patients' conditions ranges from post-operative rehabilitation to chronic pain management. You will have the rewarding opportunity to work closely with these patients, helping them achieve their rehabilitation goals and improve their quality of life through personalized approaches.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy or a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is mandatory.
• Current certification and licensing as a Physical Therapist in California.
• Clear record with no disciplinary actions or board actions related to your license.

Preferred Experience

• Demonstrated expertise in orthopedic outpatient settings with a strong foundation in manual therapy techniques.
• Proficiency in designing and implementing tailored exercise regimens to suit diverse patient needs.
• Experience with electronic medical record (EMR) software, particularly WebPT or similar platforms, is advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits

The position offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 100,000 to 120,000 per year, commensurate with experience, in addition to a comprehensive benefits package that includes health insurance, paid time off, and retirement savings plans.
