RN Medical-Surgical

Job Summary:

The Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) on the night shift provides direct patient care, coordinates treatment plans, and ensures high-quality nursing services for patients recovering from illness, injury, or surgery. This role involves clinical assessment, medication administration, patient education, and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes. The RN serves as a professional role model, mentor, and resource, demonstrating critical thinking and adherence to evidence-based nursing practices in a fast-paced hospital environment. Responsibilities: Required Skills & Certifications:

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) License in the State of Idaho or approved compact state licensure.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required upon hire.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required upon hire.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification required within one year of hire.
• Graduate of an approved School of Nursing; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Strong clinical judgment and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Preferred Skills & Certifications:

• Prior experience in Medical-Surgical nursing preferred.
• Experience with post-operative care and chronic illness management.

Special Considerations:

• Must be able to work weekends, holidays, and shift rotations as needed.

Scheduling:

• Night shift schedule in a hospital medical-surgical unit.
