RN MedSurg PCU Nights

Job Summary:

The Registered Nurse in the MedSurg/PCU night shift role is responsible for providing high-quality nursing care in a critical access hospital setting. This position requires working independently, performing charge nurse duties, and floating to other units such as Emergency Department and Maternal Child Health as needed. The nurse will deliver patient assessments, medication administration, treatment planning, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Responsibilities: Required Skills & Certifications:

• Active Registered Nurse license in the state of Vermont.
• Minimum of 2 years nursing experience, preferably in Medical/Surgical or Progressive Care Unit settings.
• Strong clinical assessment, medication administration, and treatment planning skills.
• Ability to work independently and perform charge nurse responsibilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field.

Preferred Skills & Certifications:

• Experience in critical access or rural hospital settings.
• Previous experience floating between multiple units such as ED and MCH.
• Advanced certifications related to MedSurg or PCU nursing.

Special Considerations:

• Night shift position requiring every other weekend rotation.
• Ability to float to other units including Emergency Department and Maternal Child Health.
• Work environment is a critical access, 25-bed hospital.

Scheduling:

• Night shift schedule with every other weekend rotation.
• Shift assignments may include floating to other units based on hospital needs.
