Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to develop individualized treatment plans tailored to the mental health needs of clients.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques to provide effective individual, group, family, and couples counseling.

• Incorporate various therapeutic methodologies, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), psychodynamic therapy, and solution-focused therapy.

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists, social workers, and case managers, to deliver holistic client-centered care.

• Maintain accurate clinical documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards, ensuring confidentiality and ethical practice.

• Engage in continuous professional development through workshops and training to stay abreast of current trends in mental health treatment and research.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The LPC will primarily serve individuals and families who may face barriers to accessing traditional mental health care, including those from low-income backgrounds and diverse cultural communities. The counselor will be responsible for treating various mental health issues including anxiety, depression, family conflict, trauma-related challenges, and substance use. This position emphasizes client empowerment and provides a safe space for open dialogue and healing.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field is required.

• Active and unrestricted licensure as a Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of New Jersey.

Compensation and Benefits\n
