Work Environment\n

This role is designed to be primarily remote, allowing you to provide in-home therapy sessions or conduct group sessions in our community health clinic. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct personalized individual therapy sessions within clients' homes or facilitate group therapy sessions at our outpatient center, enabling clients to feel more secure and engaged in their therapeutic journey.

• Implement strategies addressing anger management, coping techniques, and social skills, aiming to reduce high-risk behaviors such as self-injurious behavior (SIB) and physical aggression.
\n
• Work collaboratively with the Child Family Treatment Team and allied professionals to ensure coordinated care for youth and families, contributing to comprehensive treatment plans.
\n
• Maintain thorough documentation including intake forms, treatment plans, and progress notes, ensuring adherence to regulatory timelines.
\n
• Participate in monthly meetings to provide insight and recommendations that enhance the effectiveness of our services.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary role will focus on delivering in-community therapeutic services to children aged 3-20 who are facing developmental challenges. You will specifically work with children who have been diagnosed with intellectual disabilities, ensuring that your interventions are tailored to meet their unique needs. Engaging with families and caregivers will also be a crucial part of your responsibilities, helping them to improve decision-making and strategize around behavioral challenges.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Counseling, Family Therapy, or a related field is required.

• An active and unrestricted LMFT license in California is mandatory.
\n
• Availability for a minimum of 5-10 hours per week during after-school hours (4-7 pm); flexibility on weekends is a plus.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience in providing positive behavior support and strategies.
\n
• Prior experience working specifically with children and young adults with intellectual/developmental disabilities (I/DD) is highly desirable.

• Possession of a valid driver’s license and access to a registered vehicle for traveling to client homes.
\n
• Successful completion of a criminal background check, including fingerprinting, is required.

Compensation and Benefits\n
