Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Therapist, your day-to-day responsibilities will encompass various tasks crucial to client care and organizational success. You will:

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate each client's mood disorder symptoms, considering their severity, frequency, and duration.

• Collaborate with clients to formulate individualized treatment plans that align with their specific needs and aspirations.

• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), tailored to the needs of each individual.

• Provide educational resources and support to clients and their families, guiding them through mood disorders, treatment options, and effective self-care strategies.

• Monitor and document clients' progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary based on the most current therapeutic approaches and client feedback.

• Work cooperatively with psychiatrists and other mental health professionals to ensure a holistic approach to client care.

• Participate in ongoing professional development, including case consultations and team meetings, to remain informed about best practices in the treatment of mood disorders.

• Advocate for clients' mental health needs, helping to de-stigmatize mood disorders and promoting access to appropriate resources.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on individuals experiencing a range of mood disorders, including depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety, and related conditions. You will work closely with clients from diverse cultural backgrounds, ensuring culturally sensitive approaches to therapy and acknowledging the distinct needs of each client in your care.

Qualifications\n

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• A master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• A valid and current licensure as an LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker), LPC (Licensed Professional Counselor), or LMFT (Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist) in Texas.

• Demonstrated expertise in evidence-based therapeutic modalities, particularly CBT and DBT.

• Strong understanding of psychopharmacology and experience in collaborating effectively with psychiatrists.

• Exceptional communication skills with the ability to develop rapport and trust with clients from various backgrounds.

Preferred Experience\n

Experience in a clinical setting focusing on mood disorders is preferred. A background that includes working within community health clinics or similar environments will be highly regarded. Additionally, familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems and documentation standards is advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits\n
