Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations and assessments to determine patients' functional capabilities and rehabilitation needs, ensuring a complete understanding of their specific challenges.
• Design and implement personalized treatment plans that include evidence-based interventions, manual therapy techniques, and therapeutic exercises targeted at promoting mobility, alleviating pain, and enhancing life quality.
• Work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team, engaging in regular communication with physicians, nurses, and other therapists to provide holistic care and achieve optimal rehabilitation outcomes.
• Educate patients and their families on therapeutic exercises, home care programs, and strategies for injury prevention, equipping them with the tools necessary for successful recovery.
• Maintain meticulous documentation concerning patient progress and treatment methodologies in accordance with state and federal regulatory standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The primary patient population for this role includes individuals recovering from orthopedic injuries, surgeries, and conditions that affect musculoskeletal health. You will work with diverse patients, ranging from athletes seeking to return to peak performance to older adults managing chronic pain conditions. Our holistic approach ensures that you will address not only their physical rehabilitation needs but also their emotional and psychological well-being.

Qualifications

• Master of Physical Therapy (MPT) or Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited institution.
• Active Physical Therapy License in New Jersey.
• A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience is required, with a strong preference for candidates with experience in outpatient or orthopedic settings.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR certification for healthcare professionals.
• Demonstrated excellent communication and interpersonal skills, essential in building effective relationships with patients and interdisciplinary team members.

Preferred Experience

• Experience with specific orthopedic rehabilitation protocols and tools, including therapeutic modalities and exercise equipment.
• Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems to efficiently document patient interactions and track progress over time.
• Prior experience working within a collaborative healthcare team to develop comprehensive treatment strategies.

Compensation and Benefits
