Work Environment

This position requires onsite work within our rehabilitation facility, where collaboration and teamwork are at the forefront. You will join a small, but comprised, team of two physical therapists and one Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA), creating a supportive environment that fosters professional development and high-quality patient care. With a structured Monday to Friday schedule from 9 am to 5 pm, you will enjoy a work-life balance while engaging in meaningful sessions with your patients.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess and evaluate patients' physical conditions and design personalized treatment plans tailored to their specific needs and goals.
• Utilize a variety of evidence-based therapeutic techniques and modalities to facilitate optimal recovery.
• Maintain a consistent patient load of one individual per hour to ensure quality care and individualized attention.
• Guide patients through their rehabilitation processes, offering motivation and support at each step to optimize functionality.
• Document all patient interactions and therapy sessions meticulously using EMR software such as WebPT.
• Collaborate closely with other healthcare professionals to develop comprehensive care plans that address the full spectrum of patient needs.
• Continually monitor patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to achieve the best outcomes.
• Advocate for a healthier lifestyle among patients, promoting programs that enhance strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our patient demographic primarily includes individuals with private medical insurance seeking restorative care following orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and chronic pain conditions. You will work with patients of all ages, customizing each treatment plan based on their unique challenges and aspirations. Your care will directly impact their recovery journeys, enhancing their quality of life and physical capabilities.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy (DPT is preferred).
• Active State of New York licensure as a Physical Therapist without any disciplinary actions.
• Strong foundation in manual therapy techniques and effective exercise development.
• Adept at using EMR software platforms, specifically WebPT, for efficient documentation and patient tracking.
• Excellent interpersonal skills to foster positive patient relationships and effective team collaboration.

Preferred Experience

A minimum of three (3) years of experience as a Physical Therapist, specifically in orthopedic outpatient settings, is required. Prior experience working in a high-volume environment managing a diverse range of treatment protocols will be advantageous. Familiarity with advanced rehabilitation techniques and modalities will enhance your contribution to our practice.

Compensation and Benefits

This role offers an annual salary ranging from USD 90,000 to 100,000, commensurate with experience and skillset.
